Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students and their families can receive ABSTUDY payments from the start of secondary school right through to tertiary studies.
ABSTUDY payments can help families with the cost of school materials, school fees, boarding fees and travel for their children.
Parents and carers can now claim ABSTUDY for their child starting Year 7 in 2022. Make your claim by the end of the year to help your child get ready to begin their secondary studies on time.
To find out which payments your family is eligible for and apply for ABSTUDY, visit the Services Australia website.
